Circulate

Services

Planning

We develop holistic designs – from urban planning concepts to the last detail – and embed sustainability principles and circular strategies right from the early stages of the project. In addition to new buildings, we focus in particular on existing buildings and continue to utilise their potential. Our work is characterised by timber construction that is appropriate to the material, constructive deconstruction and flexible reuse.

Sustainability

forms the starting point for our actions. Our goal is to design architecture in a way that keeps materials in circulation, minimises energy flows and ensures that buildings remain durable and adaptable in the long term. We consider design quality and technical precision to be integral components of this approach.

Feasibility studies

We examine options, economic efficiency and ecological and circular potential, thus creating a reliable basis for decision-making for building owners, local authorities and investors.

Research

We see unanswered questions as a driver for innovation. Our projects examine, among other things, resilient and durable timber structures, clever timber protection measures, circular design strategies, smart city concepts, planning and analysis tools, and sustainable building materials. Our findings are directly incorporated into our planning and consulting work.

Consulting, integrated planning & networking

We advise architectural studios, engineers, public institutions and companies on integrating resource-saving methods and ( timber) construction techniques into their projects. Thanks to a broad network of specialist planners for structural engineering, building physics, contractors and participation and moderation agencies, we are able to bring together interdisciplinary teams in a structured manner and provide holistic support for projects.

Knowledge transfer

As lecturers at universities and speakers at specialist forums and conferences, we convey practical knowledge about timber construction, deconstruction planning and circular system approaches. Workshops and training courses enable teams to design their own projects in a sustainable manner.
