Bettina Gossak-Kowalskicompleted her architecture studies at the Graz University of Technology (TU Graz), including international academic stays at the Technical University of Valencia and during her diploma thesis at the Universidad de Valparaíso in Chile.

She has gained extensive practical experience in several architectural studios, particularly in the project management of tourism, special purpose and healthcare buildings – mainly in timber construction.

She currently teaches and researches at the Chair for Architecture and Timber Construction at the Institute for Architectural Technology at Graz University of Technology. Together with Prof. Tom Kaden, she is also responsible for the academic direction of a part-time timber construction programme at the TU Graz.

As a licensed architect, she runs the office circulate together with Alexander Dengg. Their work focuses on architectural design, research and knowledge transfer – particularly in the fields of timber construction and circular building practices.
