About Us

We see building as a creative intervention in complex ecological, social and economic contexts. Our aim is not only to minimise environmental impact, but also to integrate it responsibly and sustainably into the design process, creating added value for all.

This is why we develop architecture that is not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also designed to conserve resources and be re-usable. The use of renewable raw materials – especially wood – and a consistent focus on the principles of circular economy are central components of our work. With the resources we use in today’s buildings, we are also creating the building materials of tomorrow. Our aim is to minimise the use of primary resources while ensuring their lasting value for future generations.

Research and development is an integral part of our work. We work to unlock the potential of sustainable construction, pushing the boundaries of what is possible, challenging existing limits and opening up new areas of thinking and design.

We actively share our knowledge through teaching, publishing and consultancy. Only by learning and thinking together can sustainable architecture become a natural part of planning and society.
